COTTAGERS TO MOVE FOR EGYPTIAN

PREMIERSHIP new boys Fulham are pondering making a move for Egyptian striker Abdelsatar Sabry.

The Benfica ace has been on trial at Craven Cottage and he has impressed Cottagers boss Jean Tigana during his short time at the club.

The 27-year-old ace was on the bench for Fulham's final game of pre-season against Alaves and Tigana is set to make a permanent move for Abdelsatar.

Abdelsatar impressed for Benfica last season, scoring the winning goals in clashes against arch-rivals Sporting, and The Eagles will be keen to hang onto him.

Tigana is determined to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season and Abdelsatar will provide options to his squad as he can also play in midfield as well as up front.

Meanwhile, Fulham defender Andy Melville has admitted that the club are not setting their standards too high in their first season in The Premiership.

"First and foremost we want to finish as a Premiership football club next year," said Melville.

"We've got to take the season one step at a time and can't afford to look too far forward. We've got a lot of work to do, week in week out and we're not fooling ourselves about that.

"We have got a lot of experienced lads in the dressing room, so we know not to get too carried away."
