ONE IN, ONE OUT FOR OLDHAM

OLDHAM ATHLETIC have handed a trial to Leeds United winger Tony Lennon.

The 19-year-old started training at Boundary Park at the beginning of the week and is hoping to impress manager Andy Ritchie and earn a permanent deal.

Ritchie is hoping to see Lennon play in at least two reserve-team games.

Meanwhile, The Latics have allowed Ben Futcher to join Stalybridge Celtic on a month's loan.

The 20-year-old has been told by Ritchie that he must gain some experience before he can be considered for the first team.

"I had a chat with Ben at the end of last season," said Ritchie.  "I said he'll not get into my first-team until he gets loan experience.

"The Conference is now getting better and we want him to toughen up so he can challenge for a place when he returns."
