INJURY JINX HITS PETTA AGAIN
The in-form wide man, who had won only his second call-up for the game, has been forced to withdraw from the squad for the game at White Hart Lane after picking up an hamstring strain training on Tuesday.
The injury is a major blow to the former Ipswich Town man as he was expected to make his full debut in place of the injured Marc Overmars.
Petta is also going to be very doubtful for Celtic's game at Scottish Premier League new boys Livingston this weekend.
It is the second time that the skilful ace has been forced to withdraw from the national squad after pulling out of the squad to face Portugal last March through injury.
The injury may force Dutch coach Louis van Gaal into rethinking his system for the game as he is without both Overmars and Petta on the left side of midfield.
