STIMAC ATTACKS UEFA DISCIPLINARY DECISION

HADJUK SPLIT defender Igor Stimac has described the six game ban handed out to him by the Uefa disciplinary committee as 'unjust'.

The measures were taken after Stimac was found guilty of attacking Carlos Dominguez in the tunnel of the Poldjud Stadium, after their Champions League qualifying round first leg, which ended 1-0 to the Croatians.

Speaking to Mallorcan radio station Onda Cero, Stimac was adamant, saying: "All know is that I did not beat anybody and I am the only one who has been disciplined.

"There is no justice, but I will be in Mallorca supporting my team-mates because nobody can prevent me.  I am the most veteran player of the team and my team-mates need me," added Stimac.

Stimac claimed that Damian Amer, the reserve coach of Mallorca was incorrect in stating it was he that attacked Dominguez.

"Carlos tried to kick me, but if I had responded to him he would not have remained standing.  The other gentleman pretended to attack.  Everything is lie, but it is clear that Uefa does not want a Croatian team in the Champions League."
