INTER CONFIRM FRESH FULHAM SUKUR BID
After agreeing to allow Sixto Peralta to head for Ipswich Town, Inter have also revealed that an enquiry has been made by Jean Tigana for experienced Sukur, nicknamed 'The Bull of the Bosphorous'.
The Milan-based side revealed the news on their official website, and it confirms earlier reports on planetfootball.com that the former Galatasaray goal-grabber is one of the big hit-men on Fulham's wanted list.
Even though the Londoners have made an excellent start to life in The Premiership, losing out to champions Manchester United in a five-goal thriller, and defeating Sunderland 2-0, Tigana is still aware of the need to bring in a new striker after losing out on Jan Koller and Frederic Kanoute, and failing, so far, to persuade Oliver Bierhoff to head for Craven Cottage.
Louis Saha heads the top scorers chart at this early stage, following his three goals, and Barry Hayles is also off the mark after his strike on Wednesday.
However, an experienced front-runner should ensure the capital club continue their impressive start to the campaign, and Steve Marlet remains on Tigana's wanted list.
Sukur, meanwhile, recently suggested he is happy to stay at Giuseppe Meazza, although he has previously expressed a desire to play in England.
The arrival onto the scene of precocious Brazilian youngster Adriano, and return to fitness of Ronaldo, has further pushed the Euro 2000 star down the pecking order at Inter.
