MADSEN SUFFERS BACK INJURY
WOLFSBURG striker Michael Madsen is suffering from a back injury, and admitted the general mood of the squad is downbeat.
The Danish hit-man has been struck down by a similar problem that beset compatriot Claus Thomsen.
"My Wolfsburg team-mates have got the impression that all Danes have back problems," he told BT.
"My injury is not as serious as Thomsen's.
"I strained the back in Italy and got the wrong treatment."
A return against Magdeburg in the German Cup is very much on the cards.
"I am better and can now play without any major pains," he added.
"The atmosphere in the squad is down after the poor start in the Bundesliga and, whatever happens, we cannot take a loss in Magdeburg."
