BARCA TARGET COCO

BARCELONA are being linked with a move for Milan's highly-rated wing back Francesco Coco.

Coco's future at the Guiseppe Meazza has been in doubt recently with Serie A rivals Lazio reported to be keen on bringing him to the Stadio Olimpico.

The 24-year-old Italian international, who recently signed a new three-year deal with The Rossoneri, admitted that he was unsure of his future and that he could leave the club.

Having broken into the Italian national team last year, Coco is keen to be playing regularly to win a place in the Italian World Cup squad, should they qualify.

The exciting defender has been left out in pre-season by new Milan coach Fatih Terim and he may not be first choice this season and he could be prepared to move for regular action to cement his place in the national side.

Barcelona have embarked on a massive spending spree this summer as they try to make up for a disappointing campaign last term but they have failed to bring in a left sided full back.

A new full back is still high on the list of priorities at Camp Nou and Arsenal defender Silvinho has been linked with a move to the Catalan giants as they target long-term replacement for veteran defender Sergi.

Barcelona have targeted Coco ever since he destroyed them in last season's Champions League clash between both sides when he scored and set up another goal in the 2-0 win at Camp Nou and they would like to add him to their star-studded squad.
