BOLTON MOVE FOR N'GOTTY
BOLTON WANDERERS have shunned Paris Saint Germain defender Sylvain Distin and instead turned their attentions to French international Bruno N'Gotty.
The 30-year-old defender is currently with Marseille, after moving to the Stade Velodrome last summer from AC Milan, although he has failed to make the expected impact in the South of France and has now joined Bolton.
N'Gotty, who has already rejected a move to Galatasaray, will train with Sam Allardyce's men for the next week in a bid to win a deal with Premiership pace-setters.
Allardyce has moved for N'Gotty, after finally accepting defeat in their bid for Distin.
The PSG central defender has been talking with both Bolton and Newcastle, but now the Trotters have opted out leaving the way clear for the North East club to seal a deal.
"We have dropped our interest in Distin," a Bolton spokesman told planetfootball.com.
"We are not pursuing him at all."
