COUNTY REJECT ANSELIN
19-year-old Kevan, who was released by Burnley in the summer and Anselin, 24, played in Notts County's reserve encounter with Carlisle.
But following a disappointing 1-0 defeat it seems unlikely that the Magpies will push through a permanent deal for Anselin, although left sided Kevan is likely to get another chance to impress..
"The question you have to ask is if the player is better than anyone you already have, there is no point in taking anyone on if they are not," said executive deputy chairman Peter Storrie.
"Cedric has played in a UEFA Cup final, but he was not quite what we need at this point in time.
"But that is the beauty of the reserve team, you can look at this sort of player and see how they fit in, which we will continue to do in the future."
Meanwhile, the club have completed the signing of Blackburn defender Danny Stone, after he impressed the club during the summer.
