VIERI AND TOTTI MISS AZZURRI TRAINING
CHRISTIAN VIERI and Francesco Totti have emerged as doubts for Italy's World Cup qualifier against Lithuania on Saturday - following the start of the Serie A season at the weekend.
Vieri, who grabbed a brace in a 4-1 victory over Perugia, is apparently suffering from a knock to his ankle, and, along with Totti, missed the first Azzurri training session on Tuesday.
Totti has been suffering from a problem with his eyes, although it is more likely that a niggling back strain caused his absence from Giovanni Trapattoni's first session.
