HREIDARSSON FLATTERED AT GUNNERS LINK
The 27-year-old, who moved to Portman Road last summer for £4 million from Wimbledon, impressed last season and played a pivotal role in Town's unlikely charge to a Uefa Cup place.
The former Crystal Palace and Brentford ace, who is currently away on international duty with Iceland, admitted he had heard the rumours of Arsenal's reported interest and that he took it as a compliment, but he was happy at Ipswich.
"I've been told word is going around that Arsenal are interested in me," Hreidarsson told his own official website. "My reaction is that it's probably not true. If it was, it's a big compliment. But, as far as I know, someone with a good imagination started this speculation.
"Rumours like these come and go and if clubs like Arsenal are involved I'm not complaining.
"Arsenal is a big club with an impressive bunch of players. I particularly respect Tony Adams, his mental toughness and fighting spirit is an example to every footballer.
"Being mentioned in connection with Arsenal tells me that I'm doing well at Ipswich and that people are noticing. We did a great job last season and ending up fifth in the league was more then anyone had hoped for.
"The papers can say what they like but until somebody speaks to me I can't say anything more - apart from that I'm flattered."
