THORINGTON SIGNS NEW DEAL
The former Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester United ace joined The Terriers in March, but could not prevent them from being relegated.
The player, though, seems happy with life at the McAlpine Stadium, as he has made a long-term commitment to the Yorkshire club.
Chairman Barry Rubery expressed his delight at securing the forward, but then said that he will try and persuade the USA coach to include him in the national squad.
"My next aim is to do all I can to persuade the USA coach that he is now good enough to be a regular consideration for their first team squad and I will be trying to get their manager Bruce Arena over to watch John as soon as possible," Rubery said.
