HESSELINK THE HERO FOR PSV
Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink (pictured), bought as a replacement for PSV hero Ruud van Nistelrooy, grabbed two and John de Jong wrapped up the points with the third nine minutes from time.
Feyenoord also stormed to a 3-0 win where Jon Dahl Tomasson was again in fine form.
Bonaventure Kalou gave them the lead in the first half, but two strikes from Tomasson in the second ensured Feyenoord of all three points.
Ajax came away with maximum points following their trip to Twente Enschede.
Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic grabbed the first after 18 minutes and Wamberto grabbed the second late on.
A goal from Rody Turpijn midway through the second half was enough for De Graafschaap in the clash with Roda JC, while AZ Alkmaar came out on top in their clash with NAC Breda.
Ali Elkhattabi scored twice in the space of three minutes midway through the second half before Youssouf Hersi pulled one back two minutes later.
Kofi Mensah was also sent off for Breda to cap a barnstorming five minutes.
