HSV PLAYERS AWAITING DEVELOPMENTS
HAMBURG players have admitted to a sense of confusion following the sacking of coach Frank Pagelsdorf on Monday.
The Northern club decided to oust the 43-year-old coach after winning just one of their first six games of the season, and the players are now waiting for developments with sports director Holger Hieronymus in temporary charge.
Danish ace Stig Tofting aired the views of the squad to BT, saying: "It was not the usual mood among the squad at practice and we are anxious to know what will happen.
"So far, we do not know who will be the next head coach.
"It was apparently tough for Pagelsdorf to say goodbye to us and I can just say that I never had a problem with him.
"But HSV have chosen to fire him and we just have to accept it.
"It is tough in the Bundesliga," the midfielder added.
