AMORUSO SIGNS NEW GERS DEAL
The 30-year-old had been linked with a move away from Ibrox after he was stripped of the club captaincy and was reported to be the subject of interest from both Sunderland and West Ham.
"It's very pleasing to tie up my future," he told the club's official website.
"I always wanted to stay with Rangers and I'm pleased to have sorted things out with the club.
"I'm here now for a further two years after next summer and I'm delighted with that.
"I think it shows that Rangers intend to move on as a club. We intend to do well in Scotland as well on as go on and improve our results in Europe.
"This was important for me and I'm ecstatic my career will now continue at Ibrox."
