PEACOCK LEAVES THE VALLEY

GAVIN PEACOCK has returned to Queens Park Rangers after injury cut short his loan spell with Charlton.

The 33-year-old midfielder was offered a three-month loan deal by Addicks boss Alan Curbishley, but he broke down in training with a hamstring injury and has now returned to Loftus Road.

Curbishley appears disappointed that injury has cut short the player`s stay at The Valley, commenting: "There were big expectations with Gavin but we decided to cancel the loan because it was fruitless for him to stay here while he recovers."

The former Newcastle and Chelsea man is sure to make every effort and win a move elsewhere, as he does not want to play in Division Two.
