BLUES AWAIT POULSEN NEWS

BIRMINGHAM CITY are still engaged in talks with Danish Under-21 international Christian Poulsen, but expect a decision by Friday.

Although there have been no developments, it is expected that the FC Copenhagen midfielder will make a decision on whether or not he will move to St Andrew's shortly.

City managing dirctor Karren Brady confirmed this, saying: "We have been promised a response by Friday morning at the latest."

The 22-year-old is still ironing out personal terms with Blues boss Trevor Francis (pictured) after the two clubs agreed on a fee of £4.3 million.

"We had a good meeting," said Francis. "We have given Christian what we think is a good offer.

"Now he will return to Denmark to consider it and the decision will soon be made," he told Danish daily BT.

Meanwhile, Blues player Tony Capaldi has joined Hereford United on loan.
