NEDERGAARD TO STAY WITH CANARIES

NORWICH CITY midfielder Steen Nedergaard has agreed to a one year extension to his contract at Carrow Road.

Nedergaard, 31, has spent two seasons with The Canaries after joining from Danish outfit OB and is happy with life in Norfolk.

"As things stand I will stay for another year. The season has so far been fine for both the club and me and it was not hard to make the decision," explained the Dane.

"It also helps that Norwich is a nice city to live in."

The experienced midfielder believes Norwich have a bright future and can build on their recent league success - they stand fourth in Division One.

"Norwich may have the best environment in the first division when it comes to the sporting complex and stadium. It is always an experience to play at home when we have between 17,000 and 19,000 spectators," added Nedergaard.
