ZIDANE STILL WANTS VIEIRA

Zidane had admitted that the Arsenal star provides the ideal foil for him and paid tribute to the former Milan star.

"My weakness is the defence, Vieira wins 25 balls out of each one I play," Zidane commented.

Juventus and Real Madrid have been continuously linked with Vieira and Zidane would certainly love to have him at Santiago Bernabeu, but Arsenal are continuing to deny that their midfield ace is available for transfer.

Zidane then told of how difficult life has been in Spain, since he moved from Juventus in the summer.

"At the beginning it was like hell and had get by, but the truth is that we are not too happy with how things are going," said Zidane. 

"We hoped much more, in the Champions League our start has been great but for La Liga, with this team, there is much more to do."

The French playmaker then compared La Liga with Serie A.

"Spanish football is much more open, with more goal chances," he said. "Italy is very defensive. That's the reason that I have scored four goals so far.

"It's somewhat surprising that I am the top scorer, but I have to keep on scoring."
