VAGNER ON HIS WAY OUT OF CELTA

CELTA'S Brazilian midfielder Vagner appears to be on his way out of Galicia, with the club wanting to sell him before December to give them leeway in the transfer market in the winter window.

A minor problem to any potential deal is that the player is being taken to court by a local policeman who claims that Vagner assaulted him and attempts by the club to get the proceedings finished before Christmas appear to be failing.

The only possible solution for Celta is to negotiate with a club outside of European football, most probably a return to South America as he cannot now play in Spain.

In the last few weeks, Corinthians have shown an interest in the playmaker, but Celta president Horacio Gomez is looking to sign a new midfielder of his own to replace Vagner, believing that neither Peter Luccin nor Everton Giovanella are up to the responsibility.

Victor Fernandez and Vagner are also out of the running and this appears to leave a position open as Celta continue their free-flowing style of football.
