ZLATAN REJECTS KNVB SANCTION
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC has rejected the recommendation that he should serve a five-match suspension, meaning the KNVB will meet again to discuss the Ajax ace`s punishment.
The Swedish forward was caught on camera landing an elbow on FC Groningen`s Melchior Schoenmakers.
Referee Dick Jol missed the incident, but it was referred to the KNVB who recommended a five-game sanction.
The former Malmo star, 20, was fined by his club but his rejection of the sanction means the KNVB`s disciplinary commission will sit again to assess the incident and confirm a new penalty.
