PSG MUST PAY RONALDINHO FEE

The transfer saga surrounding the Brazilian midfielder came about because of the fact that his contract with the Brazilian club side expired in February, leading the Paris outfit to claim that he was a free transfer, while Gremio demanded a fee for their player.

Fifa have now stepped in to say that PSG must pay a fee for his switch to the Parc des Princes.

"PSG have to pay a fee, but both clubs have to negotiate the amount before October 25," said a Fifa spokesman.

The two clubs must meet to settle the amount between themselves, although this looks unlikely due to the disagreement dragging on for so long already.

Should they fail to agree, a special Fifa committee will set up at the end of October to discuss the matter and set the transfer fee themselves.
