BOLTON TARGET FRENCH YOUNGSTERS

EXCLUSIVE
BOLTON WANDERERS have taken French starlet Kamel Chafni on trial, and look set to capture Jeremy Bon, despite denying a contract has been offered to the Bordeaux keeper.

Planetfootball.com understands that Sam Allardyce is keen to raid France for some of its bright, young talent and the two teenagers are on his list of targets.

Sources in Bordeaux insist Bon, a 17-year-old shot-stopper, has agreed a deal with Wanderers, for a nominal fee, and will soon arrive at The Reebok Stadium.

The move is something of a surprise as it seemed unlikely Girondins would keep Bon beyond the end of the current season.

A Bolton spokesperson earlier dismissed suggestions that the youngster is on his way to the club, but it is certain that the word in France is that the player is heading for the North West of England.

Meanwhile, Chafni has also caught Allardyce's eye with his performances in the lowly CSA league in France, with Libourne St Seurin.

The 19-year-old is very highly regarded, and would have been signed by Bordeaux but for off-the-field troubles during his stint with the academy at Parc Lescure.

A midfielder with an eye for goal, he has been a regular scorer this term as The Penguins have risen to second place in their league.

It is believed that Chafni has been on trial with Bolton for the past ten days, and Allardyce is expected to offer him the opportunity to join his squad.

After a splendid start to what promised to be a difficult Premiership campaign, it appears as though the Trotters manager's priority is to bolster his ranks ahead of the winter months.
