LATICS PLACE HOTTE ON LIST

OLDHAM have placed central defender Mark Hotte on the transfer list following talks with boss Andy Ritchie.

The 23-year-old ace has found himself out of favour at Boundary Park this season and has only made two substitute appearances this season both in the Worthington Cup.

Hotte, who came through the youth ranks at the club, has been unhappy at his situation and, after being told by Ritchie he was not part of his plans, both parties decided it would be best if he was allowed to leave to find a new club.

"Mark came to see me and I told him that his chances were going to be limited," said Ritchie.

"We now have a much bigger squad with more options and there are three or four players in front of him.

"Players are obviously not going to be happy if they are not in the side, but I still want to keep as big a squad as possible.

"Mark felt it would be better if he got fixed up elsewhere and I accept he does not want to be playing in the reserve team at this stage in his career."

Meanwhile, Ritchie has made Ryan Sugden, Danny Boshell, Ben Futcher, David Miskelly and Lee Hardy available for loan moves as he tries to trim his squad having brought in Chris Armstrong, Dean Holden and Marc Richards recently.
