DONS SNAP UP DANISH KEEPER
Kjar, 35, endured a torrid time with Turkish side Besiktas and was keen to leave Turkey for regular first team football and try and force his way into Morten Olsen's squad for next summer's World Cup finals.
"After the chaotic situation in Turkey, it was my wish to settle in the safe Scottish environment," he said.
"I really want to go to the World Cup and thereafter I will decide if I want to continue to play football."
Kjar is expected to make his Aberdeen debut in Saturday's clash with Hearts as The Dons have a goalkeeping crisis with both first choice keepers out injured.
"I have coached Peter for two years in Vejle and I know he is both solid and serious," Dons coack Ebbe Skovdahl (pictured) said.
"As a gift, I have given him the Number One shirt. I think Peter has good chances to give our two other keepers a fight for the place when they return."
