ZONGO SET FOR MORE SURGERY

VITESSE ARNHEM forward Mamadou Zongo is unlikely to make a comeback in the near future, as he is set to go under the surgeon`s knife in a bid to cure a persistent knee problem.

The 21-year-old Burkina Faso forward has yet to play a game this season after suffering a knee injury against FC Twente last February, and a first bout of surgery proved unsuccessful.

The player has tried to build up his fitness for some time, but has continually met with setbacks and the club have decided he should go under the knife for the second time.

Zongo has been with Vitesse for the last four seasons, since moving from ASEC, and established himself as a regular last term before being struck down with injury.
