REDS EYE UP YOUNG RIISE

LIVERPOOL are reported to be interested in John Arne Riise's younger brother Bjorn Helge, after he made a trip to Anfield.

The 18-year-old visited his brother on Merseyside and is said to have been a target of Gerard Houllier's for some time now.

The skillful midfielder is very highly rated and was supposedly invited for a trial by The Reds last season only for him to break his leg.

The Aalesund star could follow in the footsteps of his brother, who moved to French side Monaco when he was at the same age.

John Arne Riise had previously said that his brother, who supports Manchester United, advised him not to join Liverpool in favour of the Champions.

Riise must have then been even more delighted with his thunderbolt strike he scored in Liverpool's 3-1 win over their fierce rivals on Sunday.

Should Liverpool follow-up their interest in young Riise, they would be sure to have first refusal on the player who is said to have just as much talent as his older sibling.

Meanwhile, fellow Norwegian Frode Kippe has said that he wants to stay at the club for the moment and hopes to get more regular football.
