NAKATA PLEDGES FUTURE TO PARMA

HIDETOSHI NAKATA has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Juventus by pledging his future to Parma.

The 24-year-old has said that he is dedicated to the club he only joined in the summer from Roma.

"I will play in any position Passarella wants me to play in," said the Japanese superstar.

"I want to stay at Parma and I am fully focused on doing my best for them for a long time to come."

Some reports had suggested that new manager Daniel Passarella would sell Nakata, but he has stated how much he rates the former Roma man.

"I first saw Hide in action in 1998, when we [Argentina] had to play against Japan," said Passarella.

"He's a great player. I look forward to seeing him in training."
