VERONA DERBY TO HAVE NATIONAL ANTHEM

THE DERBY between Hellas Verona and Chievo Verona will start with Italian national anthem, after the mayor of the town asked the club to play the patriotic tune.

'Mameli's anthem' will be played after the club negotiated with the Italian FA and the FIGC eventually agreed to the request.

The FIGC were mainly worried about Hellas supporters, who shouted down the anthem in 1989 before a friendly international between Italy and Uruguay, since that day the Italian national team has never played at Bentegodi Stadium.

Meanwhile Hellas keeper, Fabrizio Ferron has revealed his thoughts about the game: "Everyone in town is waiting for this match, it will be something special for us and for our supporters.

"The final result it's not so important this time."
