BAYER ADMIT FRINGS INTEREST
BAYER LEVERKUSEN general manager Reiner Calmund has admitted the club are interested in Werder Bremen star Torsten Frings.
Werder are keen to keep the German international but a number of Bundesliga clubs, including league leaders Bayer, are monitoring the talented midfielder.
"I know Torsten Frings from his time in the youth team at Alemannia Aachen. He has developed at Werder and belongs to the national set-up," said Calmund.
"He is an interesting player who we would like to sign."
