KLUIVERT EYES ANFIELD REVENGE
The Dutch striker handled in the box to gift The Merseysiders a penalty which Gary McAllister duly converted to seal a 1-0 win at Anfield - a memory still fresh in Kluivert's mind.
"I feel like revenging Liverpool for knocking us out last year," said the Barca ace.
However, Kluivert is the first to admit that the Catalan side need to improve on the weekend performance against Las Palmas if they are to overcome The Premiership leaders.
"I've played many times at Anfield and it's a great stadium, in which players want to play their best," said Kluivert.
"On Saturday we played badly and that is clear. When you have two or three goalscoring chances you have to score, otherwise you have problems.
"If we play like we did against Las Palmas we won't beat Liverpool."
The former Ajax star insists Barca will go for the win at Anfield but a draw would not be a bad result.
"Barcelona always look for a triumph but it is important not to lose. It would be good if we started this competition well. It is important to win at home and not to lose away," added the 25-year-old marksman.
Brazilian talisman Rivaldo will be back for the Primera Liga titans after helping his country to the World Cup finals and Kluivert believes his presence is vital.
"He gives quality to the team and frightens our rivals."
