LE PEN FINDS SILVER LINING

IPSWICH new-boy Ulrich Le Pen believes that an injury on his debut may prove to have a silver lining.

Le Pen was stretchered off with a nasty gash in his foot in the 2-1 defeat by Bolton Wanderers, but is hoping for a speedy return.

"I underwent a minor operation on Sunday night, because the wound was so big," said Le Pen. "They put in eight or nine stitches.

"I will have a splint for around twelve days before going back on the exercise bike and running and I hope to be training again inside three weeks.

"The positive aspect is that it will allow me to settle more quickly in Ipswich."
