PLUMMER OUT FOR SEASON

QUEENS PARK RANGERS defender Chris Plummer has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a serious injury during Sunday's clash with Swansea City.

The unfortunate stopper suffered a fractured tibia during the encounter and has also damaged his ankle - injuries which will effectively end his campaign.

Although Rangers have admitted that Plummer will not return until next summer they are also keen to stress that his career is in no danger.

On a brighter note for Hoops fans, the injury suffered by Ollie Burgess was not as severe as was first thought.

The midfielder twisted his knee during the 4-0 victory over Swindon, although he is expected to be back in contention for a first-team place within the next week.
