NELISSE THE HERO AGAIN FOR AZ

ROBIN NELISSE'S late goal gave AZ Alkmaar a hard-fought 1-0 win at FC Groningen on Tuesday night.

The striker, who scored the winning goal against Den Bosch last Friday, was the hero again netting the only goal of the game two minutes from time.

The result lifts AZ up to ninth spot in the table, level on points with RKC Waalwijk.

Den Bosch climbed out of the bottom four with a convincing 3-1 win at home to De Graafschap.

The home side got off to a perfect start taking the lead in the very first minute through former West Bromwich Albion striker Fabian DeFreitas.

The lead only lasted eight minutes as former Rangers and Feyenoord striker Peter van Vossen drew the sides level. Den Bosch restored their lead in the 57th minute with a penalty from Bart van den Eede.

Van den Eede wrapped up the victory with his second goal of the night after 74 minutes to give Den Bosch all three points and lift them to 13th spot in the table.
