REBROV MILAN RUMOURS RESURFACE
The spectacular record for the Shevchenko- Rebrov partnership at Dinamo Kiev and at international level for the Ukraine has meant that speculation about teaming the two up again has been rife for years.
Rebrov has fallen out of favour at Tottenham since the arrival of Glenn Hoddle, although injuries have finally handed him the chance to impress.
Hoddle insists that Rebrov is adjusting to playing as a striker and not a support man, but that he has been impressed of late.
"All strikers thrive on goals for confidence and his strike against Fulham has done him the world of good," said Hoddle.
"We have spent a lot of time working with him and Teddy on the training ground.
"One of the things I felt Sergei was doing too much was coming off of defenders like Teddy does.
"We have spent time working on his game to change that. I thought it worked really well as a partnership against Fulham."
Milan have been rocked by the news that Inzaghi, an arrival from Juventus in the summer, will be out for a lengthy period after damaging knee ligaments.
The Italian international will undergo surgery on his joing that will keep hi out for at least three months and possibly longer.
The prolific figure is now a major doubt for the Italian World Cup squad.
