CARRAGHER IN JUVE LINK

JUVENTUS are rumoured to be keeping tabs on Liverpool's Jamie Carragher, the versatile England international.

Some sterling performances this term for the Anfield outfit have attracted the attention of Juve, who are always actively looking to bolster their resources.

The Italian media have been claiming for some time that several of Liverpool's stars, including Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Sami Hyypia and John Arne Riise, are on the wanted list of Serie A's biggest clubs.

However, the Merseysiders will certainly resist any approaches for their key men, as they aim to follow up last season's cup treble with more success.

Meanwhile, planetfootball.com sources claim Gianluca Vialli is being discussed as a candidate to become the next coach of his former club.

The Watford boss recently indicated he will remain at least another two years in England, as he bids to take The Hornets into The Premiership, but if there was a firm offer from Juve, he would surely find it difficult to turn down.

Current Bianconeri boss Marcello Lippi is under pressure, as the Turin giants lie in fifth place in the table, and were beaten by Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday.
