BOHME OUTBURST ENRAGES ASSAUER

JORG BOHME'S criticism of Schalke has landed him in hot water with hardline general manager Rudi Assauer and the German international may be forced to depart the Arena AufSchalke.

After an impressive start to his career with The Royal Blues, which earned him four international caps, Bohme's form has dipped, as has that of several of his team-mates, and the left back has spent large parts of the season pressing the substitutes' bench.

A 3-1 defeat by Wolfsburg over the weekend left Bohme, who started the game before being taken off in the 55th minute, frustrated and the former Arminia Bielefeld player blasted the Schalke hierarchy for making himself and Gerald Asamoah the scapegoats for the poor form of the Bundesliga runners-up, stating: "It is no wonder that we play so badly."

The comments by Bohme have angered Assauer who insisted he would have no qualms about releasing the defender even if it meant losing out on a transfer sum.

"If he said that then I will tell him: 'Please Jorg find another club'," declared Assauer.

"I don't believe he will find one where he can sort out his problems. I don't really give a s**t whether we write off his transfer fee or not.

"We have done everything possible to get him back on the straight and narrow. He just does not listen to advice."
