NIELSEN AGREES LOAN SWITCH TO NORWICH

NORWICH CITY have signed Wimbledon striker David Nielsen on a month's loan.

He will go straight into The Canaries' squad for their clash with Coventry City on Saturday and he was looking forward to beginning life at Carrow Road.

"I'm looking forward to playing for Norwich and hope it will go well. It'll be good to play in front of a large crowd which hasn't always been the case since my time in England," he said.

"I'm looking forward to playing up front, at Wimbledon I've been played out of position on the right hand side.

"I want to show the Norwich fans what I can do. All the players have made me very welcome especially Steen who I played with at Odense when I was 16.

"It'll be nice to spend Christmas in Norfolk."

Nielsen scored against The Canaries in a league clash for Wimbledon last season and boss Nigel Worthington was delighted to have signed him.
