FEYENOORD CLAIM THEY WERE SOLD DUFF PLAYERS
Roda sold Ramon van Haaren to the Rotterdam side, whilst Pieter Collen arrived from NEC. The former, a left back has only played once because of a persistent knee injury, whilst the latter, a right back has had stomach problems but has managed eight games.
It is the belief of Feyenoord that both players already had their injuries before arriving in the summer at the club, for whom club chairman Jorien van den Herik said: "Buyers of houses are protected by law.
"If a problem becomes visible after the transaction that wasn't brought up during the acquisition, this is called a hidden problem. The seller can be given responsibility.
"Collen and Van Haaren are bothered by injuries that didn't come out in their medical tests because they were deeper than can be concluded in a common inspection.
"NEC and Roda JC will hear from us."
Leen Looyen, the technical president of NEC replied: "This is madness. Collen played every game while he was with us.
"Feyenoord gave him a medical when they wanted to sign him. He was in excellent shape."
Meanwhile, Ferry de Haan, Feyenoord's central defender is out until after the winter break with a groin injury he sustained in Sunday's 0-0 draw with PSV.
