WEBBER RETURNS TO OLD TRAFFORD

Webber believes he can push for a place in the United squad following Andy Cole's departure to Blackburn and has decided to return to the Premiership champions as he feels he stands a better chance than if he stays with Vale.

Webber, 20, has appeared in five games for The Valiants, but failed to find the net despite the promise of a goal a game.

Vale won just once during his spell at the club, Saturday's 3-1 win against Colchester, which proved to be his last appearance in their shirt.
