GOLDBAEK POISED FOR FULHAM EXIT

BJARNE GOLDBAEK looks set to quit Fulham, with the Danish star admitting that his failure to get in The Cottagers' line-up has left him with no choice but to look elsewhere.

The 33-year-old midfielder, who joined Fulham from Chelsea, is disappointed that he is not being considered for the first team, and is considering a loan move to another Southern club, or a permanent switch back to Germany or Denmark.

"It doesn't look good for me," Goldbaek told BT. "As late as two weeks ago I still thought I would be able to fight myself back into the side.

"Since then I haven't even figured in the squad.

"Right now I do not believe I have a future at Fulham.

"I will try to talk with the manager Jean Tigana about the situation because it is unbearable.

"I will investigate possibilities elsewhere," adds Goldbaek. "If it is a loan move then it shouldn't be too far from London so I can drive there.

"If I find a club that I want to join permanently then it will be where my family can settle after my career - namely Germany or Denmark."

The veteran has no desire to quit the game, believing he is still ready for action.

"I am fully fit and will certainly not be finishing playing," states the Dane. "I want to play football, but, if Tigana decides he will not select me, then I will find a boss who does want me.

"I don't understand why I am not playing because I feel I am good enough."
