CHELSEA STAR ARRESTED

ENGLAND UNDER-21 captain John Terry has been arrested on suspicion of assault and being drunk and disorderly.

The 21-year-old was detained on Friday, along with Wimbledon player Des Byrne, after an incident involving a worker at a club in Knightsbridge, West London.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that two men have been arrested.

Chelsea's assistant manager Gwyn Williams refused to be drawn on the incident, but confirmed action would be taken if Terry had broken club rules.

"We do have a disciplinary policy and if it's found that he has been out of line he will be disciplined in accordance with that policy."

Terry was in trouble last autumn, when he was forced to publicly apologise, after he and three Chelsea team-mates were fined two weeks' wages for improper behaviour at a Heathrow hotel.
