DIOP RETURNS TO LENS
LENS have signed Senegalese international Pape Bouba Diop from Grasshopper Zurich.
Diop rejoins le Championnat leaders and will sign a five-and-a-half year contract.
But the 24-year-old defender will soon leave France to represent his country in the African Nations Cup.
It could be a very difficult period for Lens who have a lot of number of first team players away in this competition.
One of these players, Diop's countryman El Hadji Diouf has been confirmed as the African Footballer of the Year.
The Lens striker beat off competition from Mallorca's Samuel Eto'o and Bayern Munich defender Samuel Kuffour to win the trophy.
