Zidane set for World Cup farewell
The Real Madrid superstar is desperate to go out on a high note, and hopes he can lead the French side to retain the trophy in the Far East next summer.
However, he does say that it will be his last World Cup, and has began to look at his future beyond playing.
"It will be the summit of my career, I'll be 30 for my last World Cup," Zidane told Onze Mondial.
"I have started to think about my future over the past few months and to be honest with you, it is still very vague.
"I would like to remain in football, but what I want above everything is to be left alone.
"I don't think becoming a coach would be a good idea, but working with kids? Why not.
"But for now, I still have three or four years ahead of me, I have not finished yet."
Zidane also sounded out a warning to the other countries hoping to lift the trophy by saying that the squad is stronger than it has been during their recent successes.
"We are stronger than we were in 1998 and Euro 2000.
"Our motivation is also stronger than ever and we have what it takes to clinch a second title."
