Tininho leaves Feyenoord

TININHO looks to have played his last game for Feyenoord after accepting a loan deal with Belo Horizonte until the end of the season.

The Brazilian defender stayed in his homeland rather than join Feyenoord for their winter training camp, and the club have decided to offload him.

He will play with Belo Horizonte until the end of the season, at which point his contract with Feyenoord will expire and he will have to find himself a new club.

Tininho arrived in Rotterdam in 1998 from Brazilian side Portuguesa, and was a regular in his first season, but lost his place to Tomasz Rzasa and has not figured at all in this campaign.

Feyenoord, though, praised the player`s actions, as he informed the club he did not want to continue taking money from them without playing.

General manager Jan Swart said: "He told his agent he did not want to take money and in that we recognise the class of Tininho.  That sort of thing is just not his style."
