Rosenborg win Sorensen case

FIFA have fined Norwegian winger Jan Derek Sorensen for negotiating his move to Borussia Dortmund without the permission of his former club Rosenborg.

Dortmund and the player's agent - Danish legend Soren Lerby - have also been hit with fines by football's governing body.

Sorensen moved to Germany in 2000, but only now have Rosenborg won their case against all three parties involved in his move.

Sorensen has been ordered to pay ‚é¼6,800, Lerby must pay ‚é¼10,200 and Dortmund have been hit with a ‚é¼33,900 fine.

"We put this case to Fifa  to mark that we couldn't accept that players and agents can act against current rules," said Rosenborg director Rune Bratseth.
