Hibs hit by McManus blow
The Scotland Under-21 international suffered a double break in his ankle and right foot as well as ligament damage after an accidental collision with Dundee's Temuri Ketsbaia during their 1-0 defeat at Dens Park.
McManus, who has scored four goals this season, could be out of action for almost a year with the injuries.
The problem is a major blow for Hibs boss Franck Sauzee who is still waiting for his first win in charge of the Edinburgh side and they have only scored once in the seven games he has been in control.
Meanwhile, Sauzee has admitted he will punish Frederic Arpinon after being sent off at Dundee for spitting at Ketsbaia.
"What he did is definitely not in my concepts of football," Sauzee told the club's official website.
"You must stay calm even though sometimes it is difficult. You should be composed, especially when you have experience."
