PSG want to make Arteta move permanent
PARIS SAINT GERMAIN have signalled their desire to keep on loan star Mikel Arteta by offering Barcelona ‚é¼9.1 million (£5.59 million) for his services.
However, the Catalan side want double that amount for the youngster although are in a weak position to negotiate given the fact that PSG hold a purchase option on the midfielder.
Barca claim that they have received several offers for the 19-year-old, but agreed to give PSG an option to buy Arteta when the two clubs agreed to a new loan deal that runs out in the summer.
Arteta has impressed in Le Championnat and according to 'Le Parisien' Luis Fernandez has made the permanent acquisition of the Basque one of his top priorities.
"When Barcelona announce what they want to do, I will say what I want," said Arteta. "But to prevail in the starting eleven of Barca is very complicated and to return to Catalunya not to play...."
