Concussed Ferdinand awaits scans

TOTTENHAM HOTPSUR front-man Les Ferdinand will have a series of scans after suffering from concussion in the 1-1 draw with Everton.

A clash of heads with Toffees defender David Unsworth saw Ferdinand come off worse and the player was substituted in the 21st minute.

Spurs coach Glenn Hoddle must now wait to see if 'Sir Les', who has been in sparkling form this season, will be fit for Wednesday's Worthington Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea.

Tottenham must overhaul a 2-1 deficit at White Hart Lane if they are to reach the final in Cardiff where Sheffield Wednesday or Blackburn will await the winners.
