De Windt returns home
SERGIO DE WINDT has made a return to Holland after an unsuccessful spell in Italy with Serie A giants Juventus.
The 19-year-old was signed from Ajax in July 2000, after being recommended by Juve midfielder and fellow compatriot Edgar Davids.
However, the former Dutch Under-18 international has not figured in the Italian club's plans, and has since returned home to go on trial at Haarlem.
A product of Ajax's fabled youth system, de Windt was originally born in Surinam, the birthplace of Davids and Chelsea's Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
